MexicanaGOGrupo Mexico, which includes Mexicana Airlines, is now offering the MexicanaGO frequent flyer program. This loyalty program was started in March of 2009. It was designed to make it easier to manage memberships and points online. The previous frequent flyer program Frequenta is still in operation, but members are being encouraged to transfer their miles to the MexicanaGO program.
With the MexicanaGO program, a member will earn points rather than earn miles. There are tables available on the MexicanaGO website, www.mexicanago.com (under the tab Go Partners), which explain how many points a member can accrue based on the airline and the booking class. As part of Oneworld, Mexicana offers points for flights through their affiliate airlines. Points can also be earned through other GO Partners such as hotels, car rental companies, and E-Rewards. Points can also be purchased through www.points.com.
There are four membership levels offered in the program. The Welcome is the starting level. The Explore is reached by accumulating 25,000 points or 30 flights. The Discover is achieved when a member accrues 40,000 points or 50 flights. The Conquer is reached by amassing 80,000 points or 90 flights. The top three tiers coincide with the Oneworld tiers Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.
